One of the reasons we love living in Key West - year round fishing! Even in December when much of the US is battling snow, we’re hopping in the water to spearfish!.
We ran a recent bluewater commercial spearfishing trip out of Key West with a group of experienced divers from the west coast of Florida.
The goal? Pelagics.
The result? Six wahoo speared in one day!
Ryan even landed his first wahoo ever after a slow morning turned into a fast-paced shoot. That’s five first-time wahoo divers we’ve helped this month alone—and that’s what makes these trips special. We’ll never get tired of watching someone line up, pull the trigger, and come up screaming with a fish of a lifetime.
This was an advanced crew—but you don’t need to be a pro to book a trip with us.
At Wet Dream Charters, we guide both new and seasoned divers every week. Whether you’ve never done this before or you’re ready to drop into 80 feet chasing speed demons, we’ll build a trip around your skill level and goals.
We’ve got the gear. And we’re in one of the few places in the country where you can dive reefs, wrecks, and bluewater all in a single trip.
Now’s the time. Winter means wahoo, cobia, and African pompano are all in play.
Visibility’s good, temps are mellow, and the big fish are moving.
